This wood grinder is a brand new developement. Designed and produced in Germany with the known quality standard. The design is based on the CGT400-3045. but with much more power. Our engineers called that machine "the most impressive wood grinder with the most advanced technology". It is a combination of power and high tech and will satisfy in each way.

Rotor / Cutting system
The solid rotor with 400mm diameter is driven by two 60hp E-Motors. One of each side is the best way to eliminate a possible bending of the rotor and the shafts. The transmission is realized by two heavy duty gearboxes. A torque of more than 8600Nm breaks all kind of wood or plastic down to particle size. The rotor is equipped with 160 diamond shaped cutters . The cutters are made of special steel and afterwards in 3 steps heat treated.

Framework
The framework is very solidly and strong designed. All parts were very carefully selected. The heavy duty bearings are largely dimensioned and for a long life span calculated. All parts of the machine are easily accessible. Hinged doors covers all parts. An automatic greasing system reduces the maintenance to a minimum.

Hydraulic powered Ram
The heavy ram is powered by a 18hp servo hydraulic unit. A full ram stroke is made in less then 10 sec. Speed and pressure is regulated by a processor controlled electronic unit. This electronic unit is the same, that we use in an AIRBUS test field. The time of reaction is reduced to a minimum. That gives us the possibility of letting the machine always run on highest efficiency without any overloads.

Control panel
A very important renewal is the control panel. The machine is equipped with several sensors. Ram force, ram speed, rotor torque are monitored by the new control panel. With the measured values the controller calculates in a self learning procedure and compute the optimized settings.
Of course the settings can to be made manually or it be able to preselect different material types (bark, small hardwood, pallets, large wood blocks,...).

Note	This wood grinder was used in our plant only for test runs. The machine was approx. 185 hours under power. Before the distribution the machine will be equipped with new cutters and cutterbars.
